I also think that this was the best part of the movie. Linkara has the best spaceship in the entire galaxy (maybe even in the entire universe), so of course it HAD to appear in a space adventure film like this. Even though it, in my opinion, should've gotten waaay more screentime than it did, the small time it WAS in action was awesome as heck. Screw you, USS Exit Strategy, Comicron-One is the spaceship of a MAN! "I HAVE A SPACESHIP!!"
I only heard of this movie last year when I started to get into this Channel Awesome stuff, especially Linkara and Atop the Fourth Wall. But that only makes me like it even more: a fan-made, full-length movie with awesome special effects. Just incredible job! And I'll admit, I don't HATE USS Exist Strategy, I just like Comicron-One a lot more. Simply the thought that a young man around his twenties or so is in charge of possibly the strongest spaceship/warship of the entire universe, which he got as a trophy for defeating an interdimensional conqueror, and is keeping it in the orbit above our heads, accoupled with its great design... Linkara puts the "Awesome" into "Channel Awesome" by simply OWNING that thing! And besides this moment when it joins the battle alongside Exit Strategy, I think Comicron's best moment was when Linkara used it to chase after the Gunslinger. It was one of the few times Linkara has used the ship in a ship-to-ship combat, and that was AWESOME! It truly demonstrated the ENORMOUS potential that the ship possesses! "I HAVE A SPACESHIP!!"
Same here, after seeing the ending to Suburban Knights on the DVD I thought the next one would be sci-fi based, I actually thought the whole team would use Comicron-1 but I was surprised when they converted the Nostalgia Critic's house into a spaceship.
I think it was intentional to not use Comicron-1, if they did use Linkara’s ship the interior scenes would have to be done in green screen which would have been awkward for the cast to work with (which is why they most likely transformed Turrell’s ship into a house to begin with).
